
Janna-Maria Wahlforss has born in 1957, in Helsinki. She is Master of Art, Sociology, from Helsinki University in 1988, and worked with movies since 1990 as a scriptwriter, director, production manager, distributor, festival organizer and festival information secretary. Before entering to the film branch, worked among others as a researcher in the Helsinki University and before that as a library assistant in the Library of the Sciences, Helsinki University.
Antonia Ringbom has born in 1946, in Helsinki and studies at Helsinki University Art-Academy in Paris, and Free Art School in Helsinki. She has some Jobs deals with children - culture of different kinds: drama, teaching, books, TV and Radio programs, films, seminars etc...
Yellow Giraffe's animal Stories is an animated series for children. Each part tells about different animal and includes a famous poem. Yellow Giraffe features in each story. This series is made in the Aboa Animation Studio in Turku, produced by Epidem.
Awards: International UNICEF-Award, for the series "The Sun is a Yellow Giraffe" Silver Pulcinella Award in the category The Best European series for "The Sun is a Yellow Giraffe" a Cartoons on the Bay/International Festival of TV-Animation, Amalfi, Italy, 1997.

It has always been customary for visual artists to use adaptations from ancient fables and stories. But animation adaptation from world famous poets is quite intact and original in this field. In this section we become familiar with two well known directors who have engaged in such work.
