Bahram Rouhani - A Retrospective

Born in 1950, Tehran, Bahram Rouhani graduated from Fine Art Faculty of Tehran University and went to France to study at Paris Academy Of Decorative Arts to obtain his M.A. degree in animation. He continued his studies of PhD degree in Paris and graduated in "Language of Cinema". He has authored several educational booklets in the field of film language. He had begun his career in animation field, as storyboard designer in a TV series. After a while, he started his first independent works in France with collaboration of a French animator first of which was a 26 episode series for France Channel 2, produced in 1983 to 1984.

Some of his works include: The Thousand and one Nights (13×30min, for Channel 2), Denver (France/USA, 42×26min), Little Dracula (France/USA, 36×26min) and Titan TV series (13×30min for Channel 1 & 2). The most famous TV series, he has directed is 26 episodes of "Ninja Turtles".

He has also experienced teaching at film school of C.F.T de Gobelines & Center National De La Band Desginée l'Image.

In the 5th edition of Tehran Animation Festival, a selection of his works will be shown in the special screening.
