Abdollah Alimorad is a renowned name for Iranian animation fans all around the world. Palme d'Or for short film of Cannes Film Festival, the Camério award of Carrousel International Film Festival, the Silver Elephant of Hyderabad Festival, Certificate of Merit from UNICEF Jury of Berlin Film Festival, and Bronze Plaque of Cairo Children Film Festival are only some of his notable achievements. Besides, he has won several awards from national film festivals, as Fajr, Roshd and Isfahan children festival.
He is a graduated in animation from KANOON education center and has passed an animation general course in Czech.
Some of his works include: "Origami", "The Role Key", "Children in Museum", "The Parrot & the Grocer", "Jewel Mountain" and "One is not enough". He made "Traveling to Puppet's World" as a passage between two previously made works, "The Parrot & the Grocer" and "Jewel Mountain", to arrange a full-length film "Tales of Bazaar" which won the jury's special award of Fajr Film Festival.
Alimorad has also written couple of books on animation, as "The Look: How to make a puppet animation", and "Simple Methods of Animation".
In result of his recent achievements at Tehran Animation Festival & his jury membership at 4th edition of TIAF, in this edition of festival a section is dedicated to reviewing his works of four-decade career in animation.
