As previous editions, Tehran Animation Festival presents two workshops to help rising the quality of Iranian animation. The workshops are:
Clay paiting: Joan Gratz
She invented the animation technique known as clay painting which works directly under the camera with colored oil based clay. She won the best short animation academy award for Mona Lisa Descending a Staircase in 1992.
The first serious step: Behzad Farahat
Farahat studied Animation in Iran and UK. He has directed some animations which won different awards such as Best Animator and Best Children's Animation from 3rd and 5th editions of Tehran Animation Festival. He will teach basics of animation in this workshop.
