7th Tehran International Animation festival

The selection and judgment of student films attending in the 7^th edition of TIAF finished.

For this edition members of selecting committee for student film’s category will judge films too.

The members of the selecting committee and jury are Alireza Golpaygani, the head of animation department in Cinema-Theatre faculty, Naser Golmohamadi, head of digital arts department in I.R.I.B. faculty and Mohamad Ali Safoora member of the academic board in animation department of Tarbiat Modares University . The jury has been judging films on January 16^th till 18^th 2011.

The winners will receive their awards on March 10^th 2011.

The selection committee for the 7^th edition of TIAF has been started his work from January 1^st 2011 till January 10^th. Alireza Kavian Rad, Kiarash Zandi, Ravanbakhsh Sadeghi, Hossein Moradizade and Fatima Yasrebi have been selecting films for competition category among 1400 films. 135 films among 825 international films have been selected for competition and 75 films of 700 national films have the chance to go for the second round.

The judging of National student films and selecting of the international student films for the 7^th edition of TEHRAN International animation festival has been started from 16^th January 2011.

The secretariat of TEHRAN International Animation Festival announced Alireza Golpayegani / Naser Golmohammadi and Mohammad Ali Safoora are the members of the selection committee and they will judge the national student films and select the international films for Competition.

The student competition category is running for the first time in Tehran International Animation Festival and the aim is to discover the young filmmakers ability and encourage them working in animation industry.



The online submitting for 7^th edition of TIAF has been started October 20^th 2010 and the deadline was December 25^th 2010. TIAF received 825 international films and 700 national for the competition category.
