Animation has been contributed to
the dialogue among mankind from the very beginning, a
contribution of a different nature that is able to
communicate better when it has less and less speech. It
is a long time that through animation as a lingua
franca, intellectuals of different cultural backgrounds
have spoken out the joys and greives common to mankind.
The constituent elements of this lingua franca are not
words but images which the inthusiasm of the filmmaker
are translated to.
Tehran 2001 International Animation Festival holds while
the world is looking forward to more convergence and
understanding. This goal is probable to be achieved
through dialogue.
Dialogue can be a way and may be the only way out the
conflicts of modern time in which animation has been a
firm believer. |
