Started his professional career as animator in his native Holland. In 1967, he worked on the landmark Beatles animated film Yellow Submarine. After moving to Canada in early '70s, he began a long and successful association with the National Film Board of Canada. The Boy Who Saw the Iceberg

Synopsis: A playful boy, bored with his lot, imagines a diabolic and dangerous life of adventure. But when our would-be hero, accustomed to eluding the monsters in his daydreams, finally finds himself facing a real-life drama in the shape of an iceberg, he wishes to return to the mundane life he always wanted to escape.
