Born in Auce, Latvia, in 1964. Graduated from Moscow University in 1989, obtaining a B.A. degree in philosophy. In 1989 starts her work at Dauka animation studio in Riga as animator and cel painter, In 1995 arrives in New York, where she works with Bill Plimpton on his shorts.
