Folimage
Folimage studio was founded at Valence in 1984, stemming
from the passion for quality animation, the taste for
educational values and a strong commitment shared by its
founders, Jacques-Remy Girerd, Pascal le Notre and Serge
Besset. This studio has already given birth to more than
100 author films – shorts, series, TV specials and also
commissioned films… A great many of those in-house
productions and films made by artists in residence at
the studio (by now a ten year old tradition) did not
fail to reap awards in abundance through the whole
world, owing to their quality and their wide range of
artistic accomplishment. At the present time, Folimage
is completing its first animated feature film Frogs'
Prophecy, which will be released next Christmas.

AFCA
The French Animated Film Association (AFCA) has been
active in the promotion of animated films in France and
abroad since 1971. To achieve this goal it organizes
every month in Paris a screening called "Animathèque",
programs of short animated films shown all over France
and the French Animated Film Festival in Auch (near
Toulouse, in the southwest of France) every two years.
Furthermore, it publishes a monthly newsletter.
Specialized literature about the subject is also
published occasionally. It also proposes professional
meetings, a website (www.afca.asso.fr),
a research department, including a consulting video
library. AFCA counts more than 260 members and also
represents the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA)
in France. In October 2002, it took the opportunity of
the first International Animation Day to launch the very
first national animated celebration, which will take
place every year.
